Max Tarr was awarded the detailed design & build contract for the new Sanson wastewater pump station. This pump station will pump wastewater from Sanson and the Ohakea Air base to MDC’s Feilding Wastewater Treatment Plant as part of their Centralisation Programme. The pump station is capable of delivery 38L/s and will ultimately replace the existing Sanson Oxidation Pond.
The wastewater pumping station consists of the following main items:
300m of 225 DNPVC gravity main
Huber screening
Concrete PE lined inlet and wet wells, depth of 8m
Various other concrete chambers for valving & metering
Supply & Installation of 3 x FRP 75,000L storage tanks with wash down systems
Odour control
Pumping equipment including wastewater delivery pumps and wash down water supply pumps
Stainless steel pipework and fittings
Flow meters and instrumentation
Backup Power generation
Electrical supply, fitout & controls
