Max Tarr Infrastructure Engineers were sub-contracted by Drainways to the Hastings District Council for the Mechanical supply & installation of the internal S/S 316 pipework and fittings for the Frimley & Eastbourne Water Treatment Plants, which form the districts largest drinking water network serving Flaxmere, Bridge Pa, Hastings and Havelock North.
The Mechanical scope consists mostly of S/S 500NB & 600NB Sch10 welded pipework assemblies, supported by Galvanized pipe supports separated with a neoprene membrane.
The plant equipment includes 5x KSB 160kW Delivery pumps, 2x 500NB WEDECO Spektron 2000e UV Reactors, 2x 3000L Surge vessels, Sodium Hypo & HFA dosing systems
Custom 500NB Static Mixer, 2x 500NB E&H Flow meters, Multiple AVK Butterfly valves (some with Rotork IQT2000 Actuators), 400NB Bermad Pressure Sustaining Valve
Tilting Disk check valves, couplers, service water, Emergency Shower & Eyewash stations, Retractable hose-reels.
The system was pressure tested & super-chlorinated prior to commissioning.
